Art Exhibit Focuses on Sustainability

Andersen Corporation, “What We Need is Here,” Mary BergsHow does a community weave sustainability into everyday life? It starts with the person you see in the mirror.

Andersen is partnering with The Phipps Center for the Arts in Hudson, Wis., to bring the traveling art display “What We Need is Here” to two Andersen facilities in the coming weeks. The mirror display, created by Twin Cities artist Mary Bergs, is designed to provoke people to consider what they can do to promote and practice sustainability in their communities and even where they work.

“What We Need is Here” is on display at Andersen’s Bayport headquarters throughout May, on the south wall of the cafeteria. It will also be at the Corporate Administrative Offices in Oak Park Heights during the month of June. We encourage employees to stop by the exhibit and see if it triggers creative and thought-provoking ideas around Andersen’s continuing goal of sustainable products, facilities and practices.

The display will travel to other locations in the St. Croix Valley during the remainder of 2010.
